Hi guys! Sorry, I’ve been so awol recently, a lot has gone on so, unfortunately, blogging has taken a back seat. Anyway, so I don’t know if you’ve seen recently but H&M have collaborated with the Morris & Co for an affordable high street collection. I can’t tell you how long I have waited for this! During my final year of my undergrad, I made a William Morris Patchwork pillow out of samples (done as a dissertation stress pillow – anytime I got a little overworked I’d sew this pillow & accidentally made 50cm x 50xm pillow) & have conducted a lot of research into the Pre-Raphaelites & William Morris. (Boring I know, but I’m a really geeky art historian) tehe.
Anyway, I thought I’d treat myself to two new dresses ( treat yo self-girlies) but I honestly wish I could have bought the whole collection – the only reason I haven’t is that it’s selling out v fast in my sizes. I’m sure my bank will be grateful for it though. Both are really stunning prints and very loose which is actually soooo refreshing to not have tight fitted clothes, I usually wear A-line dresses but in this dress – I can 100% to for a pub lunch and not worry about back fat or the button on my jeans. Winning.
I LOVE this dress. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get a full-length photo because my photographer (aka my boyfriend) was at work so this is the best I can do. To describe how it fits, its essentially like an oversized shirt, the sleeves are cuffed creating a baggy sleeve and it’s V neck. It’s great in Autumn/ Winter with a pair of tights & boots but also for a bohemian vibe during summer. You can grab yours from the H&M website just by clicking here for only £17.99!
The other dress I bought is a little bit more smock like but is also only £17.99. The sleeves are gorgeous and tied into bows and the print is a little less loud and a tad more subtle yet instinctively Morris & Co.
I again can’t express how much I just love this collection. The material is such good quality and they fit like a dream. I would 100% recommend this collection to anyone so get it fast before it sells out. I really hope that H&M continue this collaboration into the future with Morris & Co to create new pieces throughout Autumn, Winter, Spring & Summer.
Anyway, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading! Let me know if you like any of the dresses / if you’ve bought anything else from the collection!
